How can you get involved with SEND Socials?

Find out how your input can help transform the lives of children with additional needs and disabilities in Birmingham. As a non-profit organisation the gift of time is really powerful and without this we couldn’t continue our work. If you were paid in smiles, we could make you a millionaire!

There is no greater reward than knowing you have helped make a difference to someone’s day.

Are you a whizz at making cakes? a budding Mo Farrah with a desire for running? maybe your business or the company you work for is looking for a cause to support? We are very grateful for any fundraising that you may be able to do on our behalf.

If you would like to raise money for us, please “contact us” for further information.

Absolutely!  Please “click here” to go to our donation page which gives you the option to set up a one-off or regular payment directly to us.

We know that the demand for our service means that we could run our sessions three times over and still be unable to meet demand. However we are constantly striving to find ways in which we can access more funding in order to be able to grow our service, in doing this opportunities will be created.

We are grateful for whatever time you can donate to us. Due to the nature of our sessions we do need to plan in advance where and what staffing resource we have available to us.

You do not need any qualifications, just a passion and desire to get stuck in.  If you have or are working towards qualifications this may help.

All volunteers will receive an induction and on-the-job training. Further training may be available subject to length of service and availability.

We ask that all volunteers are at least 14 years of age. There is no upper age limit.

Whilst there is no legal requirement as children are always supervised by their parent/carer, we require this as a best practice for our regular volunteers.  SEND Socials will apply for this on your behalf.

Yes, inline with our expenses policy. This is available on request.
